You begin to wonder just why you had been alive in the first place. Was there something you were supposed to do? Maybe there was something you were supposed to not do, or something to prevent. You begin to wonder if anybody really knows why you are here, or rather were there. Then it occurs to you that maybe the reason you are here is because you didn’t do something there.
Is this what being a ghost is like?
You cross your arms and lean back and you find yourself in a chair. To your left is a fireplace with a roaring fire and the scent of wood smoke and burning cherries fills the air. You are not sure how you ended up here, but it is comfortable.
