You look at what appears to be a distortion in reality, a dent in space. You say, "I don't know Sir. I'm not an expert in such things," and apparently satisfied with your answer he once again focused his attention on your work and then the woman at the helm says, "What is that?" and everyone including you focuses their attention on the distortion.

It breaks open and out of the hole poors an armada of ships
It folds back into normal space
It breaks open into a rip in the fabric of reality
